First step was to create AVI Synth script files to merge the short video clips into one stream. This step was to avoid joining the source files into a single .AVI file (so it appeared as a title in MultiAVCHD).
The second step was to (optionally) create .CHP files and import these into MultiAVCHD to retain chapter breaks in the final output DVD between clips. Since it was simple to add I also added the (optional) ability to write .SUB subtitle files containing the base filename at the start of each clip.
The final step was to create a MultiAVCHD simple File List .MFL file for the entire project. I also added a crude Size/Bitrate calculator to help determine the desired bitrate to feed to MultiAVCHD as well.
Hope you find this tool useful for processing your directories of .AVI files!
